Johor Darul Ta’zim has opened JDT+, a new subscription streaming service for supporters of the Southern Tigers. The platform went live with the release of UNTAMED, a 76-minute documentary that examines the club’s internal operations and strategic decisions. The film focuses on the leadership of HRH Tunku Ismail Ibrahim and the organization’s push to compete with top teams in Asia.
The documentary premiered exclusively on JDT+ on October 22. It looks beyond match results and trophies to show the people involved in the club’s development. JDT became the first team from Southeast Asia to win the AFC Cup in 2015. The new content explores the vision that drove that achievement and the ongoing effort to build a modern sporting organization.
Luis Garcia, the club’s chief executive officer, described the launch as a step in the club’s expansion. He stated that JDT+ gives supporters a better view of what the club represents. Garcia also noted that the platform aims to connect with fans globally, not just those in Malaysia. The club has expressed a strong desire to win the AFC Champions League, which Garcia called the dream goal.
After UNTAMED, the platform will feature OUTBOUND, an annual documentary series. This show will follow the Southern Tigers’ campaign in the AFC Champions League Elite. The programming schedule is part of the club’s effort to reach audiences outside of Malaysia. Fans can access subscription details and premium content at jdtplus.com.
